Federal and Ontario immigration programs
Every stream below is assessed the same way: against your actual profile, not the one you wish you had. Express Entry has its own dedicated page — the rest are detailed here.
Express Entry
Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trades, Canadian Experience Class and category-based draws, with a plan for the CRS points you can still move.

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program lets the province nominate candidates who match its labour market and demographic priorities. A provincial nomination adds 600 points to a Comprehensive Ranking System score, which is enough to move almost any profile to the top of an Express Entry draw.
Ontario runs several streams at once, and eligibility criteria and target occupations shift between draws. We track which streams are open and match your profile against them rather than filing into whichever one you happened to hear about.
Human Capital Priorities
For candidates with a strong Express Entry profile who match Ontario's labour market needs.
Employer Job Offer
Foreign Worker, International Student and In-Demand Skills streams tied to a qualifying job offer.
French-Speaking Skilled Worker
For French-speaking or bilingual candidates with skilled work experience.
Masters & PhD Graduate
For international graduates of an eligible Ontario postsecondary program.
Study permits
A study permit application is judged on two things: whether the school and program are genuine, and whether you can convincingly afford to be there. Officers see thousands of generic study plans; a specific, well-reasoned one is what gets approved.
We work through your designated learning institution letter of acceptance, proof of funds (tuition plus living costs, held for the required period), and a study plan that ties your program choice to your actual background and plans.
- Letter of acceptance from a designated learning institution (DLI)
- Proof of funds covering tuition and living costs
- A study plan explaining program choice, career fit, and ties to home
- Guidance on the Student Direct Stream where eligible
Work permits & LMIA
Employer-specific work permits usually require a Labour Market Impact Assessment showing no Canadian worker is available for the role — a process that lives or dies on how the job offer and recruitment record are documented.
Open work permits, post-graduation work permits, and bridging open work permits follow different rules again. We work out which category actually applies before filing, because the wrong category is a common cause of refusal.
- LMIA-based work permits and LMIA-exempt categories
- Post-Graduation Work Permits (PGWP)
- Bridging Open Work Permits while PR is in process
- Spousal open work permits
Family sponsorship
Spousal and common-law sponsorships are refused most often over relationship evidence — not because the relationship isn't real, but because the file doesn't prove it the way IRCC expects. Parent and grandparent sponsorship runs on a separate, capped intake process.
- Spouse and common-law partner sponsorship, inland or outland
- Dependent children
- Parent and Grandparent Program (PGP) intake
- Relationship evidence packages built to hold up under review
Visitor visas & Super Visa
Temporary resident visas are refused, in most cases, over ties to the home country and intent to leave Canada at the end of the visit — a judgment call that a well-prepared file can influence. The Super Visa, for parents and grandparents, carries its own income and insurance requirements.
- Temporary resident visas (single or multiple entry)
- Super Visa applications, including the private medical insurance requirement
- Extensions and restoration of status
- Reapplication after a visitor visa refusal
Start-up & entrepreneur visas
The federal Start-up Visa requires a letter of support from a designated venture capital fund, angel investor group or business incubator — getting that letter is usually the hardest part, before immigration paperwork even starts. Ontario's entrepreneur stream instead nominates candidates who will establish or buy a business operating in the province.
- Federal Start-up Visa and designated-entity support letters
- Ontario Entrepreneur Stream business plans
- Ownership and investment structuring for the application
PR renewal & citizenship
Permanent residents must meet a residency obligation to keep their status and to qualify for a new PR card. Citizenship applications turn on the physical presence calculation — which is stricter, and less forgiving of estimation, than most applicants assume.
- PR card renewal and travel document applications
- Residency obligation assessments before you travel
- Citizenship applications and the physical presence calculator
- Citizenship test and interview preparation
Not sure which program fits?
That's the first thing an assessment answers. Send us your age, education, language scores and work history and we'll tell you where you actually stand.
